Driver Atomic Pc Pad Converter Boxes
I have a wireless ps2 les paul controller (the one that came with gh3) and a bns usa ps2-usb converter. I'm playing with FoF v. 1.2.451 with the RF-Mod. My problem is that my computer won't recognize the controller, and the few times that it has, while I was attempting to map, the program freaked out on me and started changing menus and everything. I had to unplug it to make it stop (of course it didn't work at all when I plugged it back in again). I don't know whether it's my controller, my adapter, or my computer, but I need help.
I just bought the Guitar Hero World Tour game with the guitar (wireless), and I also bought a PS2 to PC adaptor (a blue one with two connectors). But it's not easy at all! I've done everything the manual to the adaptor said to do but my computer just won't recognize anything from the controller. I can see the red light shine on the receiver when I hit a button on the guitar, but it won't show anything in the computer. I'm feeling totally ripped off cause I thought by the sound of everyone on the internet that this would work perfectly fine! I've tried with a regular PS2 controller and my computer picks that up whichever button I push, but not the guitar. I just grabbed a used PS2, and so bought the Guitar Hero Kramer Striker wireless controller to play with it, but I'd also like to play FoF with this controller.
I bought a PS2 to PS3/PC controller from PlayXtreme, and tried it without installing drivers. Windows (XPsp2) recognize the adapter as USB Human Interface Device, then I plug the receiver in the wireless receiver. At this point the guitar 'pairs' with the wireless receiver (i see red light blinking when I use it), if I go to control panel there's a 4 axis 16 buttons controller in 'OK' state, but in the testing screen none of the buttons respond to my fretting and strumming.
At this point I tried installing drivers from PlayXtreme website, the control panel now is customized, but buttons and axis are messy, even if I don't touch anything on the guitar there are button pressing and analog pads moving around. What is wrong with this?!? Do I need to install drivers before plugging the guitar? Maybe I should change the adapter, or maybe I should drop the PS2 thing as a whole and buy an Explorer X360 controller.
But the Kramer is sooooo niceeeeee!!! If anyone can help me. I hate myself for being such a NOOB sometimes!! I'll explain myself. I have a PS2 Guitar and a PS2-PS3 Guitar converter. This converter allows me to play FoFix (or GH3 for PC) with no problems except for the fact that, to activate star power, I cannot simply lift my guitar because windows does not recognize the tilt sensor on the guitar. I have also tried to use a Wireless Les Paul that comes with the GH3 original game and it's exactly the same thing.
To activate star power I always have to press 'Select' (or other button I configure in-game). By browsing the Forum I've realized that if we use a XBOX guitar controller, windows will recognize the tilt sensor (I think this is the correct name by the way.) therefore I thought that, in order to activate star power the 'standard way' (lifting the guitar), I had to get myself a XBOX guitar controller. Today, here in Portugal, a big Electronic/Games Shop have made an awesome promotion regarding the GH3 game, and for only 39€ (it's like 39$ US dollar more or less) we could buy the GH3 game with the guitar included for either XBOX 360, PS3, Wii and PS2. So, what have I done? Having the 'Star power issue' in mind, I bought the XBOX 360 version of the game only to have a guitar that would work 100% with FoFix.

I've opened the box and saw no 'USB thingy' to connect to PC. Of course I didn't noticed that in order to connect the new XBOX 360 Wireless Guitar to PC I NEED a XBOX 360 wireless gaming receiver which, I don't have! Having this in mind I only need your help in order to know this: 1 - Does anyone play the game with a PS3 Les Paul Wireless and is able to activate Star Power by lifting the guitar? If anyone can actually do this, please explain me how to do it so I can go back to the store and trade the XBOX game with the PS3 version (let us hope that they'll trade it.if that's the case) -or- 2 - Do I really have to get a XBOX 360 wireless gaming receiver because the XBOX guitars are the only ones that windows will recognize the tilt sensor? Please people, give some feedback because I'm starting to slap myself for being such an ASS sometimes!
