I have a suggestion rather than a question: It would be nice if the sound announcing new messages was customizable. For example, I'd rather it didn't sound for mail that ends up in the Junk Mail folder. What do I care about SPAM? It would be even better if the arrival notification was customizable via Message Rules. For example, I delete all messages with the word 'bra' in the Subject line (I don't know why they want to sell bras to this skinny, middle-aged graybeard, but they're mighty persistent.) Anyway, I would like to eliminate the arrival notification sound for these deleted message. Taking it further, I'd like to be able to assign specific sounds to specific senders. Make rules that dump mail from specific senders into specific folders and then issue a unique sound. Anyway, there is apparently no way to send this suggestion directly to MS right now, so I thought I'd drop it here for conversation.
