If batteries are installed they will prevent a full reset of the box. Unplug the power cord, wait 45 seconds and plug the power cord back in to reset the electronic components. Replace batteries. Now that the error has been wiped from the box's memory, you can now synchronize your remote with the power down box using Susan's instructions below. Posted on May 18, 2009. Amandaharwoo, The first thing I would do, if you haven't already, is replace the batteries in the remote. The lights will still illuminate if the batteries are low but won't perform the remote functions. If that doesn't fix the problem, the remote may need to be readdressed to the receiver. I have provided the steps below. If you have further problems, please respond to the site.
Remote: All Other Remotes. Go to System Info screen. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
